Over thirty years' experience representing creditor clients in bankruptcy cases and commercial litigation throughout North Central Florida

Karen K. Specie specializes in creditors' rights and commercial litigation, with a special emphasis on representing creditors in bankruptcy. Ms. Specie received her law degree from the Florida State University College of Law where she also served on Law Review. After recieving her AA degree from the University of Florida, she received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of South Florida. Ms. Specie has litigated cases involving myriad secured transactions issues in her private practice and in her role as Chapter 7 Trustee. She has also tried complex bankruptcy and creditors' rights issues, including discharge and Dischargeability litigation, preference and fraudulent transfer litigation, contested confirmation in Chapter 11, 12 and 13 bankruptcy cases, mortgage foreclosures and replevin actions; and has managed complex problem loan workouts.
Ms. Specie is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, teaching Secured Transactions and Creditors Remedies & Bankruptcy.
